Recently a friend of mine receive an email that read :
Dear Applicant
Bare International is accepting applications for individuals to become Secret shoppers.
There is no charge to become a shopper.There are many secret
shopping companies out there that ask you to pay “a small fee” to
become a shopper. Don’t do it! At Bare International you will never pay to
shop! We pay you!
We will pay $200.00 for every assignment. Kindly fill out the
application form below and we will get back to you with the assignment
details.

This company is a fraud they just want to gather your information to stole it! There are plenty of mystery shoppers jobs, but in one assignment they do not pay you more that maybe 30 dollars per assignment. Please don’t let them fool you and do not reply this email, this is a fraud some groups are doing to stole people profile and identity. There catch is ” there are many secret
shopping companies out there that ask you to pay “a small fee” to
become a shopper. Don’t do it! At Bare International you will never pay to
shop! We pay you!”
Neither a Mystery Shopper Agency will ask for your personal information sending you an attachment they will redirect you to their website that is secure.
What to do?
1 Do not answer this kind of emails. Once you reply them they won’t stop sending you fraud emails.
2. Don’t panic if you send the information. Be wise for next occasion, DO NOT give any information. Refer to the authorities and take note to whom you send this information. And once in a while verify your credit report just to make sure no one is using your identity.
3. Lock your accounts with strong passwords, including a capital letter (not necessarily at the begging of a word) a special character such as @,#,?, ., + etc. Don’t forget to add a number (1,2,3,…)
4. We strongly recommend to not use personal information such as: social security number (neither the last four), birth date, phone numbers, family names, address, etc.
5. If is a company that is trying to reach you the email will have the companies name after the @ example:
@microsoft.com, @hp.com @hellobeyond.com @ marketforce.com Not a comercial email such @gmail.com or @yahoo.com.
